LASER HAIR REMOVAL:

" My name is Joshua and I am a patient of Mrs. Ommehoni Borden.  I have received a total of 6 treatments of laser hair removal for my entire back.  The laser used for my treatments was the Alexandrite laser (also known as Alex).  The machine used was a Cynosure Apogee Elite. Let me start with a little background on myself to put the reason why I wanted my hair removed.  I am of both Mexican and Iranian decent and have struggled with body hair since I became pubescent.  I can remember the embarrassment of my back hair throughout high school and into my adult life.  My back hair constantly caused my skin to itch and feel uncomfortable in certain types of clothing.  In my job I have to wear different types of body armor and equipment that already keep in heat. The hair just added to the problem.  So coupled with my personal embarrassment of my back hair along with the uncomfortably factor, I decided the hair had to go. I did not try anything my first few years of high school because I just avoided situations where I had to have my shirt off.  That did not last long.  The Army was offering a program were you could sign up and go to basic training between your junior and senior years of high school and go back to school and finish your senior year and continue your training after you graduate.  Well I jumped on the chance to do this.  Suddenly I found myself taking showers with people and constantly being in other situations with my shirt off.   I would consistently on a daily basis be made fun of for my back hair.  I still remember how people would call me names like “Bear Back”.  When I came back to high school it continued because I joined the wrestling team and well, obviously the suit did not cover much. A friend of mine had recommended I try using Nair Hair Removal Lotion.  It did the trick, however, my skin would always feel like t was burning.  Not only that but it would also discolor my skin.  It was a small price to pay for hair removal right?  I was really uncomfortable with doing it all the time so I set out to find a better way to remove my hair. I found electrolysis but it was way to time consuming and hurt pretty bad as well.  I only underwent 3 electrolysis appointments until I went back to my Nair Hair Removal Lotion.  The lotion just got to be too much for my skin.  I gave up for years and then I met my wife.  She began to shave my back for me almost on a weekly basis. This was the best for me at the time.  The problem is that when my wife could not do it the hair would grow back and still be uncomfortable under the body armor I wore at work.  Not to mention the stubble was always back by the end of the day that she shaved my back.  Eventually I had grown to accept that I would not be able to change the fact that hair grew on my back.  I started to tolerate the uncomfortable feeling of the hair.  The feeling never really went away. My wife knew how uncomfortable I was, so she began to research hair removal for me.  She came across Mrs. Borden’s laser hair removal practice.  After my first meeting with her I was excited.  Her explanations on how it worked gave me goose bumps.  Finally the hair removal process seemed to be with in my reach.  The process itself was not a bad experience.  The laser hair removal itself was slightly uncomfortable, however, it did not hurt like I had expected.  The amount of treatments was only 6.  This offered a semi quick way to get rid of my hair.  After the first treatment I noticed a difference.  A huge amount of my hair was gone and did not return before my next treatment.  This was a pleasing situation.  Each treatment was even more progressively better.  By the 6th treatment the hair was predominately gone from my back.  I still need to return for a touch up because the laser was not able to catch every hair because not all hairs were in their growing stage at the time of the 6th treatment.  The hair that needed to be treated is so minimal you have to be really looking at my back closely to see the hair. In all I would recommend this procedure to anyone who wants to get hair removal.  Wearing my equipment for work is so much more comfortable and I am no longer embarrassed of running around without a shirt on.  My experience with laser hair removal was great.  As a matter of fact I am even going to get more done."

"Time. That's the most valuable thing that I've gained from my experience with laser hair removal. Before I had laser hair removal done, I fought with my facial hair on an almost daily basis.
