Thus,
I became very self conscious and turned to my wise mother for advice. She told me to get electrolysis because most Middle Eastern women get that treatment since they have so much hair. So we made an appointment with a very nice lady to seek help for my ugly unwanted hairs. I was petrified at my first session because my electrologist began to just put all sorts of stuff (needles) into me without explaining anything.
But I continued my treatments because I hated my coarse Middle Eastern
hair, which began my fascination with the delicacy of hair and
the disruption it can create in one's life.
Therefore, I decided to look into Electrolysis schools in the area. To make a long story short, in 1990, I became the youngest Licensed Electrologist (LE) in the DC metropolitan area. While attending college part-time, I obtain my Maryland Electrolysis license and immediately began to work in Bethesda and Potomac area. I made a promise to myself, to give each client full consultation to help them become educated consumers and never take a chance on any client. In the meantime, I finished my undergraduate at George Washington University with a degree in Psychology (Magna Cum Laude). With this degree, I was able to get a part time job providing counseling for adolescent immigrant students in Northern Virginia. I knew that I wanted to explore the counseling field greater, thus, I pursed my Masters in Clinical Community Counseling from The Johns Hopkins University (Suma Cum Laude). After my degree, I was able to work at JVS providing individual and group counseling for refugees to help them become aquinted to the working world of United States. After 9/11, the boarders were closed and refugees were not able to come to the US, thus I lost my job within a few months after the event. At that time I was also in school pursing a Post Master's degree in Existential Counseling and Therapy. With one class to go, and a desperate need to get another job while pregnant with my second son, I decided to go on my own and open an Electrolysis practice in 2002. Since my office was out of my house, I was able to balance my life between being a mother and spending extra quality time with my clients and treat them as how guest should be treated. I was very fortunate to have such committed and loyal clientel whom supported me and helped me grow my business from the ground up.
As a result, my interest in laser grew over the years and I knew in order to serve my
clients' needs better, I had to combine electrolysis with laser for the best results. In 2005, I received mentoring from a prestigious doctor who specializes in laser treatments on hair, spider veins, acne treatment, rosacea, broken capillaries, cherry hemangiomas, skin rejuvenation, wrinkles,
etc. In order to do laser, I knew I had to get my official certification from an accredited institute. Therefore, I attended The Rocky Mountain Laser College and received Board Certified Laser Specialist (CLS) degree. Furthermore, I have experience using 12 different laser machines on different skin types and hair and I have invested in the best laser in the industry, The Cynosure Apogee Elite, to
maximize the effectiveness of my services.
My goal is to provide the highest level of professionalism,
that is saturated in ethical practice, integrity and honesty
with the safest and best technology in the industry.
MY CLIENT’S SATISFACTION IS MY #1 PRIORITY. |
