The Solution
- Chocolate Sun is an all natural sunless solution made with organically grown ingredients. We have replaced the harsh chemicals and additives found in other solutions with botanicals, vitamins, and essential oils. With the Chocolate Sun recipe you will achieve a beautiful natural color that is a real treat for your skin.
Preperation
- Before the tanning session make sure you shower and exfoliate. Do not use an oil based exfoliator. A wash cloth or gloves work best but never harshly scrub your skin. You should be free of make-up, moisturizer, and perfume.
- For best results schedule manicure, pedicure, and waxing at least a day or two before the tan.
- If you are unable to prep your skin, we offer an in studio exfoliation.
The Session
- The technician will consult with you about your ideal results and choose the appropriate solution for your skin type.
- The tanning session takes 10 minutes to apply and 5 minutes to dry.
- Bring a bathing suit or lingerie to tan.
- Wear dark, loose fitting clothing, preferably no bras or socks. Flip-flops are ideal. Be cautious of straps on shoulders.
- Prior to your first shower there could be rub off on your clothing. Our solution is water based and washes out of most materials.
After Tanning
- Wait at least 8 hours after the tan is applied to shower. The color you see immediately following the tanning session is a bronzer. The bronzer is used as color guide for the technician. The first time you shower, the color run off is the bronzer, not your tan.
- In order to extend the life of your tan use only non-detergent soaps. Use soap only where necessary. Scrubbing, exfoliating, and shaving will cause the tan to fade more quickly.
- Do not exercise or swim until after your first shower.
- The more you moisturize the longer your tan will last. Extend the life of your tan with Chocolate Sun’s Cocoa Absolute Enhancer.
- Always use sunscreen.
